United Nations Day

Since 1948, United Nations Day has been celebrated around the world in recognition of the 72 years of their service to humanity in the prevention of war and conflict, as well as the countless and continuous efforts they dedicate to make the world a better place to live.

In recognition of this special occasion, Mid Peninsula UNA and SVUNA are honored to present keynote speaker, Mike Beard, Executive Director of the United Nations Foundation.  In his role as Advocacy and Global Health Director for the Beter World Campaign, Mr. Beard’s efforts are focused on malaria and global immunization programs, gender equality, womem’s health and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of 2030.
