Multifaith Voices for Peace and Justice (MVPJ) is once again planning a Sept. 11 Multifaith Peace Picnic and Prayers gathering for our community :

Tuesday, Sept. 11, 7-8:30pm, King Plaza, Palo Alto

Multifaith Peace Picnic – 7pm

An annual event sponsored by American Muslim Voice, MVPJ and many others. Food, friendship, and a short program including children singing and messages of hope and inclusion.

Multifaith Peace Prayers – 8pm

Sponsored by MVPJ, this brief service will include prayers, music and rituals from diverse faith communities, marking the end of the Jewish Holy Day of Rosh Hashanah at 8:11pm, and concluding with a candlelight vigil by 8:30pm.

Organizations who co-host will be listed in all of our publicity and on the program. We ask that you publicize widely in your community and encourage people to come and build new relationships of hope and friendship. We also request (but not require) a financial contribution (recommended $25-$100) to help with costs of supplies, program needs and publicity.
