Emergency Planning Guide for Community-Based Organizations

Join us for this hands-on working session to learn about the NEW and IMPROVED “Emergency Planning Guide for Community-Based Organizations” just released this spring by CADRE. This session will provide participants with an overview of this new guidance tool — including Why Emergency Planning is Important, How to Use the Guide, and then facilitated working group conversations with your peers to help agencies become stronger, more resilient and disaster- ready. Focus will be on supporting community-based planning amongst CADRE network members.
Bring your own Agency’s planning documents and join us for this interactive session to work on:
- Conducting an agency self-assessment on disaster resilience
- Hierarchy of Organizational Preparedness for Nonprofits
- Disaster and Emergency Planning Elements and how to approach strengthening your own organization’s disaster resilience
- What’s working, successes and challenges CADRE member agencies are facing as we work to improve disaster readiness for our community
