Planting Seeds in New Lands — A Know Your Neighbor Inspired Event

April 25, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

A Muslim-Jewish Gathering

Join us as we share our rich personal histories of movement from one land to another. We will create a safe spiritual space in which we can meaningfully connect, learn together and enjoy a delicious Kosher and Halal meal.

Keynote Speaker
Mohammad Modarres

Founder of Abe’s Meats, the first-ever “Interfaith Meat” (both Halal and Kosher), Mohammad Modarres, MSc, previously co-founded a biotechnology company, redesigned a board game and worked as a political cartoonist. He is a 2018 TED Resident and a Johns Hopkins University alumnus.

The idea for this event was inspired by Know Your Neighbor: Multifaith Encounter‘s community event Story Telling Night. Learn more about these events and ways to host them by visiting here.
