cc: Statement of Solidarity with the AAPI Community

We, at the Silicon Valley Interreligious Council (SiVIC), are deeply saddened to learn of the violence and hate incidences against the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) community in our country. There have been around 4000 incidences of hate crimes and attacks on the community during this Corona pandemic. Our neighbors in San Francisco and other Bay Area cities have experienced the brunt of these attacks on a daily basis. The attack on Atlanta businesses where six Asian women were killed shows the deep rooted hate in the nation. We extend our prayers and our support to the entire AAPI community. We pray for the speedy and full recovery of those injured in these incidences. Our prayers also are with the families of the deceased. We offer our solidarity with AAPI community and . We stand ready to provide support to the affected communities.

We urge all our friends to attend the Interfaith prayer vigil (virtual) organized by Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County on March 25, at Noon. See our event section for more info.
