First Unitarian 150th Anniversary

Big 150th and 125th Anniversaries: Celebrating 150 Years of Making Love Visible

Join us at the First Unitarian Church of San Jose as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of our founding as well as the 125th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone of our historic building. For 150 years this congregation has worked for compassion and justice in our community. We reflect on the gifts from the past that help us continue the work of building Beloved Community.  Rev. Peter Morales, president of the Unitarian Universalist Association, will be our sermon leader.  The service will include a children’s story about Laura J. Watkins. Church members will come in costume, of any time from 1865 to the present and beyond. They will represent the church’s history or dress like its 2116!

Worship begins at 11 a.m., with a reception and party (with lunch)  following.   Celebrate with us!
