Hour of Prayer and Solidarity

In the wake of the hate mail, the unconditional messages of love and support we received at the Evergreen Islamic Center, and continue to receive, are living proof that love trumps hate. We couldn’t be prouder of our community and of our nation. We are deeply grateful to our neighbors, strangers, well-wishers, various organizations, and law enforcement and elected officials for emphasizing our common humanity.

As a token of our gratitude, and in an effort to turn a negative event into a positive experience, we are calling for a community prayer by standing shoulder-to-shoulder in solidarity with one another. We humbly request your presence at our Center for a gathering of forgiveness, hope, peace and unity.

Since we are expecting a large turnout, we are encouraging you to carpool as parking is limited near our center. All of us at the Evergreen Islamic Center look forward to seeing you at this one-of-a-kind gathering in the Bay Area.

Meet the Muslims of Evergreen

Please join the Evergreen Islamic Center for an opportunity to meet your Muslim neighbors and to ask honest and tough questions about their faith and the community in Evergreen. Several members of the Evergreen Center will be on the panel.
