The Women’s March: San Jose

The Women’s March is a national movement to unify and empower everyone who stands for human rights, civil liberties, and social justice for all. We gather in community to find healing and strength through tolerance, civility, and compassion. We welcome all people to join us as we unite locally and nationally.

We will convene at San Jose City Hall at 10:00 a.m.; marchers will start the 0.7 mile procession at 11:00 a.m. ending at Cesar Chavez Plaza at 12:00 p.m. for a peaceful rally including speeches, music, and a “Call to Action Alley.” Event will end with a public oath at 3:00 p.m.

Speaker Keith Hiatt is Benetech’s new Vice President of Human Rights Programs. He leads Benetech’s efforts to empower human rights defenders around the world by providing techology solutions and capacity-building. “Keith is a proven leader and pioneer with vast expertise in the intersection of human rights, technology, policy and law,” said Betsy Beaumon, president of Benetech.
