Individual Activities:
- Join the Virtual March for Unity by liking Global March for Humanity on Facebook and encouraging your friends to do likewise. Post your thoughts.
- Play Compassion Games: By September 9, 2015 sign up to be a “Secret Agent of Compassion” on the Compassion Games website: Secret Agent Sign up. Then accept your assignment for compassion actions from Sept. 11 to Sept. 21. Report your action & your reflections by email to: CG2015@sivicouncil.org.
- Visit the Empathy Exhibition – (9/2 through 9/12 – 11:00AM-5:00PM) – Presented by Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University. “Empathy” is discussed not only in the arts and humanities, but also in Silicon Valley, Stanford’s d.school, and the latest neuroscience. We share a deep need to walk in the shoes of another. This exhibition traces the meaning and practice of empathy through artistic representations of Buddhist compassion, Christianity’s commandment to love our neighbor, Enlightenment moral philosophy, and Civil Rights-era photography.
